Approximately 554,000 lights LED light bulbs are being recalled as they can overheat during use and pose a potential fire hazard.
Lighting Science Group is recalling the 120-vold LED bulbs, sold as 6 or 8 watt bulbs (equivalent to 40 or 50 watts) that were marketed under the brand names:
The model numbers are A19, G25, and R20/PAR20, and can be found on the packaging and on the light-colored circular neck above the base of the bulb.
The date code reflects the week and year of manufacture. The date codes listed below may have the letters “CH” or “MX” at the end. The date codes are:
