Bayer and Yaz
Accordingly to the Coalition Against Bayer Dangers, several victims of the contraceptive pills Yaz and Yasmin are expected to speak in the Bayer shareholder meeting in Germany on April 30. About 4,000 stockholders and the Bayer board will participate. You can expect that they will call for a Yaz recall.
I have not been to a lot of shareholder meetings - okay, none - so I don't know how it works. But I would love to know more details about this How much time with they be given? Will anyone actually listen with an open mind? Yaz is pouring in over a billion dollars a year. In corporate America/Germany/Anywhere, that speaks volumes to shareholders. But, with many drugs and medical devices, there is a tipping point where enough voices say enough. This Bayer shareholders meeting is not going to end with a Yaz recall. But could it be mark the beginning of the end for Yaz? Who knows?
